Hack Your Essential Oils For Better Living

Oils are the best, and we don’t have to be the ones to tell you that. But are you using them to their fullest potential? Here’s a quick list of clever hacks to use your essential oils around the house for clean, chemical-free living.??

Car diffuser:

What you’ll need: Mini poms poms, your favorite essential oil, glue, and a clothespin.

Take your mini pom-poms and glue a line of them on the clothespin, then drop your favorite oil onto the pom-poms and clip the clothespin onto the vents in your car! It’s just that simple! ?

Toilet bowl freshener:

Before using the bathroom, drop a few drops of a fresh smelling essential oil into the toilet water and then do your business. Thanks to your DIY toilet perfume, your bathroom can smell great even after it all goes down. ?

Hanger hack:

There is nothing worse than pulling a shirt out of your closet and realizing it smells musky and old. ? Place a few drops of essential oils onto a wooden hanger before hanging your clothes up and voila! Fresh smelling clothes ? ?  even if they’ve been stuck in the back of your closet.

Mop It Up:

If you use a steam mop at home, adding a few drops of essential oil (like Lemon or Protective Blend) to the bottom of the mop pad can help keep your floors clean and fill your home with the yummy smells of your favorite oils! It’s a win win! ??

For bucket mops, just use some protective blend cleaner and add a few other oils you love (Like Wild Orange). People will definitely notice how clean your floors are. ✨

Vacuum:

While vacuums may leave pretty lines in your carpet, sometimes they can also leave your house smelling unpleasant. By adding a few drops of essential oils onto a paper towel or cotton pad and then placing that onto the filter of your vacuum, you can have the best of both worlds, clean carpet and a fresh smelling home! ?  

Do you have some really nasty smells in your carpet? Never fear. ?? Simply mix bicarbonate soda and Cleansing Blend or Lemon, and then shake it over your carpet. Yes, we mean all over. Then let the mixture sit on your carpet for about 10 minutes. Vaccum the whole area, and you’re all set! ?
